Forbidden Traveller, why do you journey upon our world? Is it wisdom you seek? Perhaps you’ve brought some with you, such a resource so intensely required in a world poisoned by greed. Or is it simple curiosity? Turn back then, simpleton, for curiosity kills the soul, and I’ve tasted enough blood for this life.

Blood, it seems, lurks upon our shadows. Have you come searching for that? You will find blood aplenty, trapped within various forms, hungered by knowledge and power. The blood and the soul are a unity, and together shape the sacred form of life. Separate one from the other, and they become Shadow’s Blood. And when the Shadow’s Blood withers amongst the darkness, the scales of war descend into chaos. So you see, Forbidden Traveller, blood is more than life. In this world, blood means certain death.

Your thoughts betray you. I’ve warned you of curiosity and the complications thereafter, and still you press forward. Allow me then, to explain my complete disheartenment. Will you read with me? I shall begin at the beginning, when the proud and mighty Conjural Hearts stood at the peak of their power. No being could touch them as they ruled the world. And for a small tax they would extend their bounty and offer security, thus, ending the age of wisdom and beginning the age of blood.

I am the great Dragon King Azure, you shall be my pupil, and together we will embark on a quest for reasoning. Stay within the light, do not stray the path. From here forward there shall be no more warnings. You’ve chosen your fate, simpleton, and now I’ll show you mine.
